A free and open-source, portable, cross-platform media player and streaming media server.

Installation

Download and install the latest portable setup where you want then run vlc-portable.exe.

If you have already installed VLC Media Player™ from the original setup, move the following files :

• %APPDATA%\vlc\* to data\

Then run vlc-portable.exe and remove VLC Media Player™ from your computer.

Upgrade

For an upgrade, simply download and install the latest portable setup.

Configuration

VLC Media Player™ portable can be configured through the [main YAML configuration file](/doc/configuration/:

app:
  cleanup: true
  verbose: 1

• cleanup: Cleanup leftover folders (default false)
• verbose: The level of verbosity for log messages (default 1)
