Installation

Download and install the latest portable setup where you want then run intellij-idea-portable.exe.

If you have already installed IntelliJ IDEA™ from the original setup, move the following files :

• %USERPROFILE%\.IntelliJIdea*\config\plugins to data
• %USERPROFILE%\.IntelliJIdea*\system\log to data
• %USERPROFILE%\.IntelliJIdea*\config to data
• %USERPROFILE%\.IntelliJIdea*\system to data

Then run intellij-idea-portable.exe and remove IntelliJ IDEA™ from your computer.

Upgrade

For an upgrade, simply download and install the latest portable setup.

Infos

Configuring JVM options

You can control IntelliJ IDEA JVM options in data\idea.vmoptions file. If this file does not exist, it will be created at first launch.
